The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent is unaware of its strengths, such as the fabulous chemistry between Cage and screen partner Pascal . Instead, the film forces its raging beast from a protagonist into a tight plot corset and, despite all the airs and graces of Cage , unfortunately forgets what really sets him apart: his talent for unrestrained camp. One notices the film's uptight ambitions afterwards, when almost every scene has a “ Not the Bees ” or a “ Put the Bunny Back in the Box"- Wait a minute, come hell or high water, this unfortunately only works to a very limited extent. When Cage is finally allowed to scream around for the 10th time or is drugged twice in the film in order to waddle around aimlessly, the aimless script of this film makes itself felt and the audience rolls their eyes rather than rejoices. To top it all off, the film also pesters you with an unpleasant moral club when in another plot Cage is supposed to learn to take responsibility for his daughter Addy ( Lily Sheen ). Nobody expected or demanded such moralizations from a fan film. As a result, the film puts itself on ballast, which can only backfire, especially with a character like Cage .
